Updates, Turtles, and More!

Hey everyone! So I haven't logged onto this in a while! I know this was just for shopping and cosmetics but I thought I'd like to let you know what I have been up to. So the last post was my Christmas gifts that I received from my boyfriend. Well here's the update on my life...currently I am waiting to start school again. Sept 20, 2012 will the first day of the Fall Quarter for me (: I am in the process of changing my major to Business Administration, hopefully Management and Human Resources. I'm very excited! I know it's a big jump from history but I no longer felt passionate about it. Sure it's going to take me an extra 2 years but I will happier in the long run. My shopping habits have not changed for the good, I think they have gotten worse. I shop almost every single day! hahah. I really need to stop that habit but I love shopping! Will be posting new items sooner or later! I have recently found a couple of stores I am obsessed with such as the Citadel Outlets in Commerce, CA and TJ Maxx! haha Oh How I love bargain shopping! But I need to start saving, I am currently in the process to visit my boyfriend! Ooops, here's where the changes come in!

Unfortunately my boyfriend is another state (New Mexico) because he is playing football. ha ha This honestly should have not gotten me by surprise but it did. I miss him so much but I know that we are going to be back in each others arm by the end of this year. But it's good that he left because it makes me appreciate him more and also he's going to live out his dream. During these past three years that I have been with him, he was always talking about playing football for a big school. I'm really excited that he's getting what he wanted and also most importantly getting what he deserves (: Heck it's going to be for maybe two years or so, but I know he is coming back! What made me feel better was when we spoke on Sunday night, when he told me that he was coming back in 15 weeks. Honestly when he said this, I felt great! He's on the semester system so knowing 1 week is down, made me feel terrific! Anyways, I will definitely be updating this more!

Chanel Soft Glow Blush Horizon de Chanel

This blush is awesome! What attracted me the most is all the different colors it has to make a unique color. I also loved that it did not contain bronzer because I feel it's too dramatic for spring but for summer it is perfect since when it's summer, you want to look fresh and bronzed. This blush is perfect to give you that soft glow for the daytime, it makes you look very natural. What I love about Chanel blushes is that they do not make you look so fake and cakey which is a big plus for me. I mean who wants to walk around looking like they have some pink dirt their faces. It has some glitter to it but not too much. I personally fell in love with this as soon as I saw the picture online. It gives with a brush in a seprate velvet bag, but I do not recommend it since it does not put any blush on.I use my blush brush from Chanel, I do not know the name of it but it's angeled. If you are looking to look natural in the spring or summer, this is definitely for you.

Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow 91 Tigerlily

The eyeshadow is exactly what it is called. It is a soft touch of orange on the eyelids. When I first saw it online, I thought it was going to be very pigmented but then I remembered Chanel does not make exotic colors. I went to go check it out in store and it was the most beautiful color I have ever seen in my life. It is like a soft tigerlily flower color. The color does have glitter to it but it does like tacky. The other color they had was called Rose Mauve? I am not too sure but it did not catch my attention. I would possibly pair this eyeshadow with brown since it would look so cute in the summer and also to make it stand out more. I have never been a fan of orange but this is pretty much acceptable.

I also give this 5 stars because I have never seen a color so elegant before. When I think Orange, I think of Halloween.

The eyeshadow retails for $28.50 and it is limited edition. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Chanel Natural Finish Pressed Powder 150 Jasmin

I had to get this since it had glitter! Yes, I am a sucker for anything with any that shines and sparkles! But this powder is awesome! It is so light and gives you shine all over your face. You can just put it all over your face or you can just use it on your cheeks, depends where you want it to be noticed. I personally am going to use it for all over because the glitter isn't so dramatic, it's nice and elegant, just how Chanel is known for. I took a picture of me being outside so you can get the idea of how it looks on and how shiny it is. I have oily skin and I have found this to be no problem on my skin. Remember when you have oily skin, you want to use powder since it absorbs the oil on your face. I do not think it provides enough coverage so you might want to use foundation. I found Chanel's aqualumiere foundation to be perfect for this since it is light, or you can use whatever liquid foundation you want of your choice. I will possibly be using it by itself when I go to school, just so I can feel glamourous. I know it is still winter but hey Spring is a couple months away!

I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars since I am always looking for something to make me sparkle without looking soo dramatic.

Also, I do not reccommend to use the makeup pad that it comes with. Use it with a brush to get more of an effect.

Chanel Spring 2012 Makeup Collection

Boy did I get lucky! I was speaking to my SA at the Chanel counter at Macys on Tuesday asking when the Spring 2012 collection was going to be in. She told me maybe by January due to the holidays and also Macys gets everything last...but she called me yesterday before heading off to work that it already arrived! She said she would hold the blush for me since she knew I really wanted it.I was so excited! As soon as I left work, I left to Macys and I waited about one and a half hours in traffic (Oh the things I do for Makeup!)

The Spring 2012 collection is beautiful! I was not really a fan of last years but this year it is to die for! I thought I was going to hate it since pictures online can be so deceitful but trust me, it is beautiful! I did not walk away with blush...but also with their powder, nail polish,lipstick, and an eyeshadow.
